In working with our local partners, we take one step at a time, undertaking bite-sized projects, each with a clear beginning and end.
We’ve found that certain foundations – such as food, shelter, and health – must be solidly in place before education and vocational training can add sustainable value.
We call this our building blocks of hope approach.
At each site, we do not necessarily seek to undertake a project in every block. Where our partner sites already have the basics in place, we focus on education and vocational training. Others need help putting the foundations in place.
We work together with other non-government organisations and the local community, to ensure there is no waste or duplication of effort.
